For this purpose, I can tell you that some peruvian scientist from Universidad Cayetano Heredia, have found out some specific and wonderful properties of this kind of maca (lepidium meyenii peruvianum).

Briefly, "black maca" effects on spermatogenesis (production of sperm) after short-term (7 days) and long-term (42 days) treatments has the highest effect, because, according to this very research, Yellow Maca has an intermediate effect and Red Maca had not any effect on spermatogenesis.
