MACA: Gelatinized powder

1. PROCESS

The process begins after the whole Maca root is exposed to the sun (natural dehydrated process).

Then, the selection of the hypocotyls of better quality, with an appropriate disinfection (maca is washed and soaked), and it concludes with a drying high temperature for short time, reducing to the minimum any possibility of contamination of microorganisms in the final product.

Special care has been had in the selection of the cooking and drying method with parameters completely controlled to assure a lower content of final humidity (6%).

2. CHARACTERISTICS

Exposure to high temperatures in the process, allows unfolding present starches (This process is called gelatinized)

When Maca starches are unfolded (gelatinized), it is quicker absorbed by the organism.

It is possible to mix Gelatinized powder in foods or nutraceutical supplements without affecting the organoleptics characteristic of those products mostly. The recommended doses for the Gelatinized Maca is 5g. /person/day.
